Like most progressives, I was highly critical of Al Gore in 2000. Most of the crappy policies Gore supported as part of the Bill Clinton administration, and during his election campaign, have now been forgotten. I like him much better now that he’s a former politician.

This is, I think, the oldest cartoon on this site. If I remember correctly – and that’s a big if – I drew this when I was a student at Oberlin, in the early 1990s. It was a complete one-off at the time; it was probably many years before I drew another political cartoon.
